In order to participate in Showcase, we require some additional information from you. This information will be used for the event program and script. Please click on the category below in which you have been nominated for guidelines, forms, and to submit your photo. Student forms are due January 19, 2026.

DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS

2. Send us a picture of yourself. (Due Mon, Jan 19th)

This picture will be used in the Showcase program and in a video introduction during the show. Your picture should not be modified or filtered in any way. See the picture guidelines image below.

 

3. Tell us about yourself. (Due Mon, Jan 19th)

The information you submit will keep us in contact and your on-stage introduction will be written from this information.

 

4. Tell us about and send us your Digital Media Arts entry. (Due Mon, Jan 12th)

We want to know the title, length, and synopsis of your entry. You will also provide a link to the YouTube upload of your entry on this form.

 

5. Complete the Talent Release form. (Due Mon, Mar 2nd)

Email the completed Talent Release form to: showcase@muskegonisd.org

Anyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian’s permission as well. This only applies to people who act in your entry, not background actors or those that appear in clips produced by others that you have included in your entry.

PERFORMING ARTS

The information you submit will keep us in contact and your on-stage introduction will be written from this information.

 

4. Tell us about your act. (Due Mon, Jan 19th)

We want to know the title, genre, and length of your act for the program and our judges. If you have pre-recorded music you will need to upload it on the above form. The track should be NO LONGER THAN 4 minutes AND either be in MP3 format or a link to a YouTube video. This form should only be completed once for each act.

 

5. Attend the Performing Arts Workshop.

You will be assigned to a specific time slot during one of these times:

  • Performing Arts Workshop I: Sun. February 8th, 9:00am–2:00pm (approximate end time)
  • Performing Arts Workshop II: Sat. February 14th, 9:00am–2:00pm (approximate end time)
VISUAL ARTS

We want to know the title, medium, and an artist’s statement for your entry so that we can generate a placard to display next to your work.

Drop off at the Muskegon Museum of Art Welcome Desk (look for the “Showcase Drop Off” table).

We’ll take a picture of your entry and it will be displayed online and on-screen during your on-stage introduction.

NOTE: All hanging art MUST have a sturdy wire to hang it with AND must be fully dry/completed.

  • Tues, Mar. 24: Dress Rehearsal for Show (All Nominees). Arrival will begin at 7:30 a.m. for all participants. Students will be dismissed throughout dress rehearsal at the discretion of the technical team and Director based on production needs.
  • Tues, Mar. 24: Show Begins (Awards presented at conclusion of the Show) @ 6:00pm
  • Mon, Mar. 30: Visual Arts Pick-up @3:00-5:30pm
